E-sourcing Manager

Primary Purpose & Function

This role will support the work of Head of Procurement Optimization in the development & implementation of e-procurement systems in order to transform the organization by moving the business to a value-centric, process orientated organization.


Key Responsibilities

• To assist in the on-going development and continuous development of e-procurement systems and tools into end to end procurement process, including spend analysis, e-sourcing & e-contract management

• To be involved in the simplification of the sourcing processes and related documentation

• To develop and provide guidance on the standards, policies and rules that are appropriate for the use of the DF E-Sourcing processes and system

• To manage the external source to contract environment, identifying opportunities to achieve incremental and transformational improvements

• To present the rationale for change in order to gain support from process champions and other stakeholders

• Design and deliver training events on E-Sourcing and contract management tools to the purchasing community

• To Lead specific procurement projects as required to identify options and opportunities to achieve overall savings targets through innovative techniques (e.g. web – based technology – internet/intranet)

• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the effective development of E-Sourcing and contract management strategies

• To be the lead administrator of the DF E-Sourcing tool

• To develop team capability and expertise

• To the SME expert for the group and run 85% of all E-Sourcing events across the DF group


Key Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in analytics, procurement, and E-Sourcing

• A theoretical and practical understanding of procurement, including tendering, negotiation and contract management

• A good understanding of principles and the application of e-Procurement technologies (understanding of Coupa would be advantageous)

• Experience in complex organization across multiple countries/ markets, with a strong purchasing background

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

• Strong project management skills

• Strong team player

• An enquiring mind and track record in delivering innovative solutions

• Good financial awareness

• Practical experience and proven delivery of E-Sourcing events / processes

• SME in E-Sourcing techniques i.e. RFX design, auction design and application
