Nachos with Belacan Sprinkles

The traditional American starter now has a traditional Malaysian kick to it!

1 BowlCorn tortilla chips. salted
3-5Tomatoes, chunks
1Red Onion, diced
1/4 CupCilantro leaves, chopped
2Jalapeno peppers/ green chili, seeded and finely chopped
3 TbspBelacan paste
1 TbspLime Juice


1Combine all ingredients; transfer to a stone mortar.
2Salt to taste.
3Pound with the pestle until pieces are broken, cover and refrigerate for at least an hour.
